performance outline

The focal point of the set was a human size wooden cage which held a large black dog. In front of the cage was a plate with a steak and 3 trays filled with theatrical blood and 3 felt hats soaked in each. On the floor a diagram of Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) and Mama Cocha (Sea Mother and wife of Viracocha) was painted to locate the direction of North.

An oversized cassock, priest garb stood at stage left built on a ladder and a mirror disk attached behind as a nimbus or halo. Above the stage the walls were covered with mirror foil where images of weapons and Machu Picchu landscapes were projected.

The performance started with a computer generated voice reading a tourist guide text of Peru in Spanish.

The performer in white shirt fed the meat to the dog and stacked the 3 hats and emptied the blood from the trays on his own head.

A woman in peruvian hat has written in the blood on the back of his head the word D O G in mirror writing. When the Spanish text finished Peruvian flute music started playing and the Inca woman danced in a swirling movement while the artist climbed into the oversized cassock. In the mirror halo the word G O D could be read  on the back of his head.

The following text about  Viracocha has been read and this has concluded the performance:

When the Spanish conquistadors came to the lands of the Andes, those were the lands of the Inca Empire, ruled from the Highlands capital of Cusco. Cusco was established by the Children of the Sun, who had been created and instructed by at Lake Titicaca by their Creator God, Viracocha.

Who was Viracocha?

Viracocha, according to Andean legend, was a great god of Heaven who had come to Earth in great antiquity, choosing the Andes as his creative arena.

Viracocha is identified being Thoth the Egyptian god of Secret Knowledge. He is the keeper of essential secret of all things, expressed in numbers and writing. The knowledge he has graciously bestowed on his beloved mankind includes insights into astronomy. mathematics, the calendar, and the building of pyramids.

Thoth is the Lord of the Tree of Life, Nin-Gish-Zidda for the Sumerian, Hermes for the Greeks, Kukulcan and Quetzalcoatl for the Aztecs and Mayans respectively – the Plumed or Winged Serpent. Symbolized both with the ibis-headed scribe, and the dog-headed baboon by the Egyptians as Thoth. He is the Roman god Mercury and Hermes Trismegistos the author of the Tabula Smaragdina – the all important document for the Alchemists of the European mystical tradition.

How did Thoth come to Peru ?

Thoth is the brother of Marduk Ra the Sun God who assumed supremacy over Egypt and reclaimed its lordship from his brother Thoth.

Now Thoth found himself a god without people. Thoth accompanied by some of his faithful followers landed on the Isola del Sol on Lake Titicaca.

This date assumed by Egyptologists is 3100 B.C. when the kingdom of Egypt formed. This coincide with the date 3113 B.C. the exact date from which the Mesoamericans began their Long Count. Our present age Kali Yuga started and will end in mere 16 years in 2012, completing its 5200 year duration. The association of the Mesoamerican calendar with the Old World is evident as we look at the most sacred number of 52 which adds up to seven. 260 days, the 5 times multiple of 52 was adopted as a sacred cycle of ritual year, which together with the Solar Year of 365 days - meshed together as gear wheels driven by each other, - created the Sacred Round of 52 years.

This Calendar round of 52 years was sacred to all the ancient peoples of Mesoamerica and they related to it events both past and future - such as the messianic expectation of the return of Quetzalcoati-Viracocha.

When Quetzalcoatl will return?

The first Inca, Manco Capac is said to have arrived by sea.

According to some legends, a prince called Atan had disembarked at Rimac and then gone on to Lake Titicaca, wherefrom the Children of the Sun governed the Earth. Atan wandered many days with his 2000 men and women, until he came to a place that had a sacred cave called Capac Toco, meaning "royal window".

As he came out he was dressed in a golden costume he had obtained inside the cave. By putting on these sacred garments, he was invested with the kingship of Peru.

Another version of the legend of the beginning is this:

The great god Viracocha, at his home base in Lake Titicaca, ordered his three sons to go forth from the house in three different directions and introduce civilization to all those whom they encountered along the way.

•The oldest son Ymaymana Viracocha (meaning "in whose power all things are placed") went to the mountains.

•The youngest son, Topaco Viracocha ("maker of things") went to the plains.

When the two brothers completed their work, they met in central Peru and ascended to Heaven. This is a metaphysical place called Shining Path "Sendero Luminoso" which name was- adopted by the now infamous contemporary guerrilla movement.

•The third son was Manco Capac (meaning "king and lord"), He was given a golden wand and was told to go north and build a city where the golden wand would sink into the earth.

The place where the miracle happened was Cusco, that is the "Navel of the Earth" - an esoteric identity. Omphalus, or Navel, is a cosmic center where intercommunication between the three worlds of man, of the dead, and of the gods is effected.

At the time Pizarro arrived there they found the capital city of the Inca covered and filled with gold. To the Incas as to the Aztecs gold was a gift or the property of the gods, not a means of exchange.

One of the leading chroniclers of that time, Pedro de Cieza de Leon reported that in the years followed the conquest the Spaniards "extracted" from the Inca empire annually 15,000 arrobas of gold, which is equivalent to 170 metric tons and melted down from religious artifacts to gold bars and shipped to Spain.

Cusco spelled Q-O-S-Q-O in Quechua language means Puma, the guardian of the West, and the ruler of war and earthly affairs. The other important mythological being is the Condor, the guardian of the East, the gate keeper of the realm of death, transformation and liberation. Qosqo, the Puma layed out as a map resembling the animal's physical features if one flew over with an airplane or other flying object. lt's head being the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, just north of the center of the city, where the Temple of the Sun or Coricancha (the Golden Enclosure) layed as the heart of the Puma.

The Spaniards spelled Cusco with a "z" (Cuzco) which made the Quechua word meaning Dog.

Today's Peru is - in the grips of the Roman empire or rather what remained of it as a virtual dictatorship controlled from the Vatican. The Solar Brotherhood or lntiq Churincuna, the secret association of keepers of the Andean mystical tradition and the political movement of Sandero Luminoso struggling for the recognition of the indigenous people and their cultural heritage.*

Tonight is a special date. It was seven years ago today in 1989 when the Berlin Wall collapsed marking the end of an ideological and political era, a division between two political systems of our time. The real struggle did not end though for the liberation of the human spirit from the grips of our material thinking.

Sixteen (7) years from now the Great Cycle of time will end and our generation is privileged to witness a global transformation as the next cycle begins.

Maybe Hermes-Thoth-Quetzalcoati-Viracocha will return among us.
