Szabad Levegő

I.

Free air is continuously running out. It is shrinking.

Although more and more democracies are born in the world, democracies perish and the corrupt Roman tradition of wiping out democracies has reared its head again. Democracy is the most fragile form of social arrangement.

Today even the greatest democracies are often fearful – and fear leads to panting and shortness of breath.

II.

Free air has always been a cherished priceless treasure through the ages. Freedom of the air and the air of freedom have always held elevated significance, many generations sacrificed their lives over and over again to preserve this treasure.

Today free air is a rare commodity not only spiritually but physically as well.

There are no free waters today, no free lands, everything is owned by somebody, only fire and air are free. While free fire destroys everything and consumes the air, free air is the prime mover that supports life: any life form can stay alive far longer without water and food than without free air.

There is too much free fire (the fire of industrialization), it scorched the atmosphere and polluted fresh air. Free air has appreciated its value. Once believed to be an inexhaustible source of energy, an inexhaustible dimension, today it is a rare natural phenomenon, a hard-to-come-by treasure.

III.

One of the most interesting modern modes of transportation is mankind's oldest invention, the wheel ringed with air-filled rubber tubes. Therefore astoundingly, we can rip through the air specifically with the help of air itself, furthermore, supported by air and sitting on air we can glide on air and the less air we use to travel the less we travel, the more sluggish, airless and suffocating our journey becomes while aided by air we can soar on the wind.

IV.

Air is an indispensable necessity – and this is not an overstatement.Air is being sucked up by those who do not clearly understand its rareness, those who are only preoccupied with building their own imaginary castles out of thin air. Free air is the open space of the creative spirit, the unmistakable symbol of infinite dimensions. Those who are afraid of these deep altitudes and therefore attempt to restrict their own timeless creative forces and/or those of others only demonstrate the indispensable and irreplaceable nature of free air by their own suffocation. Ultimately, they only prove the power of free air to create itself. And the self-destructive, self-annihilating and claustrophobic hopelessness of the lack of air. Because free air reproduces itself when it is allowed to work.

Moreover. Free air can be manufactured.

Moreover. We must manufacture free air.

V.

Breathe easy, link up and join in the free production of free air! Suffocating? Acquire free air in order to multiply it, so we have something to replace it with, so that the lack of free air serve as a warning sign for those who come behind us to produce air so that we can clearly recognize the liberated vacuum, so that we can continue producing free air, freely. Because it is rarer than you think.

Compress, clean, liberate and produce Free Air with us, Szabad Levegő!

Balint Forgacs                                             Translated by Gabor Lukin

I.

A szabad levegő folyamatosan fogy. Csökken.

Noha a világban egyre több demokrácia születik, ismét felütötte fejét a demokráciák megszűnésének illetve megszűntetésének dekadens római hagyománya. A demokrácia legtörékenyebb társadalmi berendezkedés. Ma a legnagyobb demokráciák is gyakran félnek, pedig a félelem ziháláshoz, légszomjhoz vezet.

II.

A szabad levegő felértékelődött. Ami egykor kifogyhatatlannak hitt erőforrás volt, kifogyhatatlan dimenziónak tűnt, ma már ritka természeti jelenség, nehezen fellelhetö kincs.

III.

Az egyik legérdekesebb modern közlekedési forma az emberiség legősibb találmánya, a kerék köré rögzített levegővel töltött gumitömlő. Így meghökkentő módon éppen a levegő segítségével hasíthatjuk magát a levegőt, sőt, a levegőn támaszkodva, a levegőn ülve suhanhatunk, sőt, minél kevesebb levegőn utazunk, annál kevésbé utazunk, annál nehezebb, annál lomhább, annál levegőtlenebb, annál fullasztóbb az utunk, míg a levegő segítségével felkerekedhetünk, akár a szelek szárnyán.

IV.

A levegőtlenség önemésztő, önpusztító, kilátástalan zártságát, áporodottságát. A szabad levegő ugyanis önmagát termeli, – ha hagyják – ha hagyjuk.

Sőt. A szabad levegő termelhető.

Sőt! A szabad levegőt termelnünk kell.

V.

William Butler Yeats

The Second Coming

Turning and turning in the widening gyre

The falcon cannot hear the falconer

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere

The ceremony of innocence is drowned

The best lack all conviction, while the worst

Are full of passionate intensity

William Butler Yeats

Második Eljövetel

Forgás és forgás táguló csavarban
A sólyom nem hallja a solymászt
Minden eltörik, gyönge a közép
A világra anarchia szabadúlt
Szabadon árad a vér-homály
S az ártatlanság cécója megfúlt
A jóknak nincs hitük
De buzgó ki alattomos
